Fiesta Brings Unity to the Community

The following newspaper contains the personal experience of someone whom participated in LAUP Fiesta. It was written by Chris Rouech of the Grand Rapids Press in 1989.

The Fiesta event became an invitation for people of all backgrounds to participate, creating a friendly and genuine atmosphere that allowed for unity within the community.

A couple who attended Fiesta expressed how "warm and friendly" the people were and highlighted the fact that people of different Latinx roots gathered together to share their heritage with each other and other people of other cultures.
